Once upon a time, life took me heart-deep into my healing journey.

Greetings! This is Virgen, the founder of Ama Healing. Thank you for stopping by. Here’s my story about why and how Ama is here to support you.

Well-being has always been an unintentional passion of mine. I believe it started with unexplainable gut issues as a child. While doctors dismissed my symptoms, there was a subtle knowing that underneath it all, there was something important to discover. So I became committed to learning how to live as healthy as possible. For over a decade, I studied the mechanics of the physical body and uncovered the many ways our diet and environment affect our health. But going all-natural, toxin-free, and plant-based in my inner and outer world still did not heal my persistant gut issues. That’s when I stumbled upon an herbal medicine program, “Gaia School of Healing and Earth Education”. What ultimately healed my body, was what also healed (and continues to heal) my mind, heart, and spirit.

What I thought was gut issues, was actually a call for love expansion. I had missed many signs of this calling. One of these signs was my strong draw to flowers. I would buy flowers, particularly roses, every week. Flowers brought me joy unlike anything else. To my later (and healing) surprise, I learned how rose tea may support with the physical and energetic healing of the heart. I never knew something like rose tea could support something deeper than the body. I also never knew that my gut issues were directly related to grief living within the heart space. This understanding was a life-changing moment and the beginning of my venture into experimenting and learning how to work with flower and plant medicine to support many more layers of my healing. I’m in profound gratitude to now walk the path of Earth medicine as both a certified Herbalist and Flower Medicine Practitioner.

From all of this expansion, Ama Healing was born, my third child. “Ama” means “love”. Our purpose is to share and support you in creating more healing in your life, too, by re-connecting to the “unseen” village available through Mother Earth. On this site you will find an offering of my favorite healing blends which have been intentionally crafted with a blend of science and spirituality. All of our products are sacredly grown (all organic and many on regenerative or native lands) and intentionally hand-blended and packaged in Los Angeles to tend to the many parts of ourselves, including our physical body, mental health, emotional wellbeing, and our spiritual understanding. Under each product you will find more specifics on how it can be of service to you. Much research has been done on every detail in each creation (from carefully selecting a trusted farm to source from, down to each part of the packaging) as it is a priority for us to support our wellness and that of our Mother Earth.
